About the Role
Bar Citizen® is a global, community-driven initiative that brings together Star Citizen® players to celebrate the game and its universe in real life. We’re looking for a Brand & Community Manager to help in our stewardship of the Bar Citizen® brand, grow engagement, and support our incredible network of event coordinators and community members worldwide.
In this role, you’ll partner closely with the VP/CMO to be one of the voices promoting Bar Citizen® across digital platforms, ensuring a consistent, welcoming, and exciting experience for all Star Citizen® fans who attend or host Bar Citizen® events. If you love bringing communities together, crafting engaging social content, and growing a grassroots movement, this role is for you.
This is a volunteer role requiring about 3-5 hours per week.
During high-profile events like CitizenCon and Bar Citizen Week, the commitment may increase to 5-10 hours per week.
Responsibilities

Develop and execute a social media strategy to engage the global Bar Citizen community, highlighting events & organizers.
Support Bar Citizen event coordinators with branded materials
Create engaging content for social media and blogs, celebrating the community’s passion and achievements.
Monitor community sentiment, trends, and feedback to help evolve and improve the Bar Citizen® experience.
Requirements
Must Have
Existing Bar Citizen® Coordinator
Passion for Star Citizen®
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Highly creative and autonomous
Valid work permit for Pyro
Nice to have
Experience in writing online content
Additional languages
Experience working with social media aggregators
Previous experience managing a brand
