About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated IT System Administrator to join our dynamic Information Technology team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day administration, maintenance, and support of our IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and applications. This role requires a strong technical background, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities
System Administration:
Manage and maintain physical and virtual servers (Windows and Linux).
Monitor system performance and ensure high availability and reliability.
Perform regular system updates, patches, and security hardening.
Administer user accounts, permissions, and access controls.
Manage and troubleshoot Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy.
Network Administration:
Configure and maintain network hardware, including routers, switches, and firewalls.
Monitor network traffic and performance to ensure optimal operation.
Troubleshoot network connectivity issues (LAN/WAN).
Implement and manage network security measures.
Application & Service Support:
Install, configure, and maintain various software applications.
Provide technical support for end-users, resolving IT-related issues in a timely manner.
Manage and support collaboration tools (e.g., Microsoft 365, SharePoint).
Administer and troubleshoot VoIP phone systems.
Backup and Disaster Recovery:
Develop, implement, and maintain backup and disaster recovery plans.
Regularly test backups to ensure data integrity and recoverability.
Perform data restores as needed.
Security:
Implement and monitor security protocols and policies to protect IT assets.
Conduct security audits and vulnerability assessments.
Manage and respond to security incidents.
Documentation:
Create and maintain detailed documentation of systems, processes, and procedures.
Update IT inventory and asset management records.

Requirements


Qualifications

  • Experience:

    • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a system administration or similar role.

    • Proven experience with a linux operating system

    • Hands-on experience with virtualization and/or cloud technologies

    • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., Microsoft Azure, AWS) is highly desirable.

    • Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Python) for automation.
